In Tratado (Treaty) #2 a hardwood log rests passively on a broken mirror, broken into several pieces, in reference to the Treaty of Tordesilhas, which came to regulate the dispute over ownership of the lands of the New World. In these fragments, we see the reflection of our dismembered image without trying to repair it. The log longs over these broken reflections as something that says “here it does not move, it is my domain”, protecting a territory of forcibly separated parts.
